M7 Ultimate Grilles

Just got these done yesterday, I think they look great!! Really an improvement, should have been what MINI did at the get go, as they caught on with the rR57. Though, I will say, not the easiest install I have ever seen. The grills could be fabricated better to make the retro-fit smoother, matching up tabs, space/holes for license plate & tow hook. Also, the rears were installed by the body shop as they had to remove my bumper due to an accident repair. Now I can see the shiny, silvery heat shield thorough there. Should I paint the shield black, or should I cut them out? Any other suggestions? Also, now what can I do with the oval shaped grill thing in the center of the rear bumper?

very nice! How much customization did you need to do to get those rear grills in?

None really, though, as I noted, I should have done something about the heat shield, but those grilles went on the easiest of the three sets.

oh, I guess I really didn't read it lol. The heat shields don't look too terribly noticable from the picture. Can you try and bend them up more so you just cant see them? As for the center piece, I have a backuplight in mine, that works pretty well.

The M7 grills look badass! Like your photos better than the ones on the M7 website. Now I'm wondering if I should spend the extra coin for these over the Aero inserts.....hmmmm.

That little grill in the middle is where the rear fog light would go. I would install it and then hook it up to the brakes kits are available or you can have it done at AMVIV if your going. Brake lights are available at http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop..._lamp_kit.html along with several other places.

Yes they look great Though I am partial to them as I have then also , except for the rears. Most guys remove the heat shield from the rear, I don't quite like that look, I think if I did the rears I would paint the heat shield black
