I'm just having a hard time getting good shots with the camera. It doesn't look bad at all. I'm still debating whether I want to go with the whole Audi thing. After all, they just copied BMW. And personally, the Audi headlights look like they just have rope lighting inside. Doesn't look as classy as BMW's halos. The OP did a good job, but it does look as if the LEDs could be longer.
hey deth,

when you installed your leds to the bumper, did you just use 3M tape or what did you do?

The LED strips I bought already had 3M tape on the back. If yours don't have this, just buy some 3M tape and cut it to the correct width and length then mount it to the back of the LED. Then you can mount it to the bumper. Don't worry, 3M will definitely hold up. Give me a holler of you need any help.

No problems what so ever. The funny thing about 3M tape is how hard it is to get back off the car even after water has been on it.

Hey deth, did the lights.. what do you think? i tried to keep it looking 'stock'. i could not 'tap into the parking lights' like you did and ended up cutting the wire on the left side accidentally. so now my warning light in the computer is on all the time. but it still works as i tapped into the right side and all is good. thanks for all the help. did you use any silicone on the ends of the LED strip? i'm still afraid of water going into the wiring. and the 3M tape.. perfect

Usually I dislike the adaption of Audi LED strips, but in your case that looks pretty good! Usually the LED adaptations look like afterthoughts (granted that they are), but usually they do not flow correctly.

I myself am running some 82 LED angel eyes (halos) on my E46 3-series that are small enough that they are a complete ring without gaps.

Here's a picture of them:

hey chris,
nice halos you have there on the bimmer. thanks for the comment on my Audi LED strips. i was going after a non'afterthought' look. i hope i was able to do it. have yet to see this on a Mini so i thought i'd try it.

I wonder what it would look like if you ran the strip on the bottom of the headlight. It might look like a happy face though. LOL

hey deth,

by the way, i got my strips directly from the manufacturer and saved a lot instead of going through oznium. was searching on ebay and voila...found the same one that oznium sells but i paid only $9 for the pair. and they took my order and shipping no problem too. all very smooth. (just incase you wanted to get somemore LEDs, let me know and i'll tell you the manufacturer)

i did try the 'happy face' style, but had problems with the bonnet hitting the LEDs in that position. (as the LEDs are not inside the headlamp system) .. but then if i did that, i could ad a nice long LED on the bottom grill and have the total smiling happy face at night. lol

thanks. i tried to be unique about the placement of the LEDs. that's what i liked about it...it looks like the LEDs are inside the headlamp unit, but it's not, it sits right behind on the outside rim of the headlight unit. so, i didn't have to open up the headlamp set to install them

Swoosh, You did an exceptional job on those. This is what I originally tried to do, but couldn't get the LED strips I used to conform to the headlight shape, even with a heat gun, so my bumper was the next best thing. Since you used the Oznium style LEDs I can now see how yours worked out so well. They are very flexible. As far as water proofing the wiring is concerned, use heat shrink on connectors and electrical tape. It'll be fine.
