How do I install these?

These are the inner door pulls between the door armrest and top front speaker. I know the armrest just pops off, but can you just use something thin, and pop off the plastic round speaker grilles?

You just need to pull the door panel off to access the two T25 torx screws. Here's pics of what the door panels looks like removed.

Basically just give a good pull starting at the bottom and work your way around the outside edge pulling as you go. There will be a wire connection at the bottom for the puddle light you'll need to disconnect. Everything just snaps back together when your done.

I am told by my local mini dealer SA that you do not have to take off the door panels. He stated to pop off the arm rest, which I did, took about 1/2 second, that exposed the first torx screw, and then use a plastic trim tool, put behind the plastic round upper speaker cover, and gently pry it off. The other torx screw will then be exposed. I am told it is a torx T20, not T25 as you stated. I also saw this on newministuff.com. I think that is the way it is done, and am going to try it out now. I dont know who told you to take off the whole door panel, but that is alot of unnecessary work I think.

No to get the speaker grill off you will need to take the door panel off (at least that is how it is required to be done on a 08 and 09. I have done it a number of times. See this post for more info. there is a link to pictures of how to do it.

Maybe you are correct, I dont know, I just tried to pull off the speaker cover with a thin screwdriver and could not budge it. In slide 5 of your stops, that plastic round speaker cover cannot be pried off without taking off the door panel? That seems like a bad design by mini, as the door pulls, door arm rests, dash, etc are so easy to swap for different color lines, and different textures, ie carbon fiber, wood look, etc. I may be wrong, and maybe the mini SA is wrong. I was just hoping to easily pop it off, and unscrew the door pull and put my CF ones on. That sucks.

OXYBLUECOOP, I am sorry, you may be correct.
