I'm considering putting a Cooper S fuel cap on my justacooper (pure silver) and need some aerosol to paint the body color base for the new cap. Anybody got a good source for pure silver in an aerosol?

 

not sure if you can get Mini paint in an aerosol can. I think you might have to go to a bodyshop for the paint or to have it sprayed

 

"S" caps are chrome ? painting them will take a lot of prep.sanding .primer .high quality paint. I myself, wish i had an aerodynamic flat cover over my gas cap just like the justacooper has !!!!

Minspeed in Florida (that went out of business) used to sell it. I bought a can of Pepper White, perfect match. So... it's out there somewhere. Does anybody know where he was getting it?

ditto - have been using them for several years for bottles of t/u and rattle cans, {but when I need bulk quantity for spraying I go to my local Sherwin-Williams automotive house}.

Note that they sell base/clear .... you need to buy clear to put over the base coat.....

Minspeed used to sell exact matches.....they are gone now.....
So it is available.....hopefully....still.....I got a can before they closed!!

 

I just checked the brand of the can I bought from Minspeed..I think it was custom mixed for them. Hopefully someone will start selling it again!!

Both paints matched very well, but the automotivetouchup spray nozzles gives a more even and precise spray pattern, I liked doing business with Pete and I miss Minispeed, but the automotivetouchup product is better.

 

Not that it really matters now but The Minspeed paint was custom mixed for them. Just chiming in for the people that were curious.
