3rd Brake Light Pulsar

Has anyone bought and installed the 3rd brake light pulsar Gen 2 on a 06 Mini S from Go Mini Go ?

Just wondering if anyone has any install tips; how to get to the wires and which color wires go where on the Pulsar unit ?

Thanks in advance !

We sell alot of the 3rd brake light pulsars and they come with pretty good instructions. I will warn you the R56 is a little harder. But they aren't too bad.

I have a Gen2 3rd brake light pulsar installed on my gen 1 MINI....what a mouthful!! It is a nice little item! I have mine set to pulse, then stop, and work normally. Install is pretty easy, just be sure you have a tiny screwdriver to tighten down the wires on the pulsar. Also you need to have a torix bit set to get the 3rd brake light out....on the gen1 anyway. When you are done assembling it, you might want to have a piece of tape around to hold the 3rd brake light in place while you shut it enough to access the screws to tighten it back down.
A another tip...the gasket on the 3rd brake light is most likely compressed...so after you undo the torix screws, you many need to push on the 3rd brake light to pop it out (just insert the screwdriver into the screw holes, and give it a nudge!).
Also when you go to re-insert it back in the whole, you may need to play with the placement/orientation of it to ensure you do not crush/pinch it. It too me a few tried to get it just right....but it worked fine.
Also before you install it....I'd give it a quick test before you pop it in!!

I purchased a tiny 3rd brake light pulsar on eBay. It fit into the hole in the hatch that the rubber conduit locks in to. No need to remove the light. The CHMSL on an MC with spoiler is almost impossible to remove.
