All I can say is that I am very thankful to NAM for allowing this thread. There is a law of reaping and sowing that AE is experiencing. After reading this thread I would never order from AE. I've read this entire thread and not once have you (AE) given anything other than excuses. You blame the victim of your poor, perhaps even illegal, business practices and I find your response to your victims to be arrogant and defensive. You claim you are not a professional painter yet you are charging for your services which include painting...I'm not sure what your definition of professional is but if are charging for a service its your profession and you are liable for it. You certainly don't seem to respond to your customers with any sense of professionalism. You are taking loans from people who may well be paying huge fees and interest and yor are doing it deceptively. Even if its not illegal it is incredibly unethical. I don't care how unique your parts are I would never order something from a business that treats its customer so poorly, makes so many excuses including passing off incompetent work as "not being a professional" and then blames the victim even referring to them as having a "bitchy" attitude. Please stop blaming your customers, listen to the truth of what's being said and get the education, training, advice, consultation or whatever else is needed for you to save your business and make it successful. There will be only one end if there is no change: your business will fail. And that's a shame because you obviously have a passion for this, a desire to innovate and produce a unique product for a really cool car. I know the truth hurts but if you keep being defensive and take such an adversarial and excusive position with your customers you will quickly have no customers.

Let me jump in as I started what I truly to be an informative and important thread for my fellow forum members.....
First off, welcome to the world of e-commerce, e-communication and e-collaboration. What the internet age has done for businesses and consumers is PHENOMENAL. The internet can extend the reach for any/all businesses. The internet is a resource for consumers to do their homework on businessess, exactly what this thread is intended to do.
The INTERNET does not ruin businesses - unless of course you are a mom and pop paint shop with no ability to change your business model.

What ruin's businesses are poor buisness practices poor customer service and poor quality. Posts in forums do not ruin businesses.

AE - take accountability for your poor practices, horrible customer service, as well as cases of poor quality of product. Don't blame your business struggles on the internet or forums or YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Thanks NAM for allowing our members to share our positive and negative experiences to help the rest of our members make educated decisions.

Well, I figure I should chime in here, seeing how I ordered some items from AC. I have to say that I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. Granted, I just order some vinyl stickers and such, but I ordered some simple items from Out Motoring and Motoring File at the same time, and the AC items reached me a week before anything else. The stickers I ordered were of good quality vinyl and looked great when applied.

Anyway, I certainly feel for those who have had bad experiences, but I have been pretty happy.

Just my $0.02

You can try to justify your post anyway you want, but just by the title alone it shows that you got mad and used the internet to throw a temper tantrum. Very adult.

Jim...appreciate your fine contributions to this post. I'm glad that we've had many individuals share their issues with AC and although you're unwavering defense of this business is clear, folks are making their own decisions on whether to do business with them going forward and a good majority are realizing that the business practices are horrible.
Happy modifying Jim, looks like your dragon roof may need some yellow molded parts from AC to match. Let us know when you get them

Very true. We have had individuals share their issues, defend the company (other then me) and some who juimped in admitting they know nothing about AC, but jumped in anyway. Honestly, AC has always gone out of their way to help whenever I have ordered or merely asked a question and their quality has been the best. I never intended to pick a fight, but merely wanted to keep this thread from getting too one sided.

As for the molded parts, I plan to go flat black and when I get them I get them. Time is just not the issue with me that is seems to be with others.

Happy motoring to you as well.

Jim

This is one of the major things wrong with this site. LOTS OF VENDOR BASHING.

My opinon on this is that AC creations is the only ones with the molded parts for our cars. I don't think that they realized how popular they were going to be. Plus when dealing with molded plastic you can not rush somethign like that. If you rush it it does not come out good at all. It's people like you guys that have made me go to M|U more and enjoy that site. This is a community there should be no bashing of vendors or anybody selling a product for our cars. I have heard nothing but good things about the molded pieces for AC so personaly I think most people have been happy in the end and thats all that matters.

I think this thread a long with al others bashing vendors on here should be put to a stop the minuite they are posted.

What if the company(riss racing) joins forums as vendor to collect money and not ship product?when riss does ship it is of subpar quality.

DISCLAIMER - I am not speaking on behalf of anyone but myself. - DISCLAIMER

Why should all 'bashing' threads be immediately deleted? If a company fails to perform their end of a transaction adequately then it is only fair for the masses to know what is going on to make an informed decision. Tell me you never had a bad experience at a store and went to work and told a friend about it. This is the same thing, just not in the office, but rather on the internet.

How is the truth of a person's experience bashing?? This is the law of reaping and sowing, not bashing. Its called consumer accountablitiy. If it was bashing you would see many other vendors "being bashed". As it is I haven't seen any other vendor on this site being held accountable or "bashed" as you call it because they have sound business practices and treat people with regard and respect.

That statement can only mean you have not read this post all the way through. The overwhelming majority of the post are fed up with the terrible business practices of this vendor. Read the post and you will see that some of the workmanship is shoddy but vendor shrugs it off by telling the guy that he's not a professional painter...so like poor workmanship is excusable???

You must either be the vendor or associated with the vendor and this is your only hope . This is America man and freedom of speech is a right. This is the reason capitalism works: if a product or service is poor you don't have to have a socialist government shut it down the consumers do...it self regulates and that is EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE SEEING IN THIS POST There are other countries where "bashing" would not be tolerated but not in America.

I find you very interesting Babalouie. You said in your first post that you have never ordered from AC and have never seen their product, so you only have the word of the OP to work with, yet you jump right in here and run off at the mouth. Try doing a search for AC and you will find that there are many here who think their product is the best. Of course you can be very brave since you hide behind that silly user name.

Right. Kill the messenger will cure all ills, eh?

I simply do not understand some of the comments here. If there seems to be a pattern of sub-par performance, or customer service, or product quality, wouldn't YOU want to know before forking over your hard earned $$? I sure do.

And it's not just AC, it's any vendor. At all.

I swear, one of the reasons the US is slipping economically is because too many people are satisfied with mediocrity as their new benchmark for excellence. Migod, migod... go drive a Chevy Vega.

Herein lies your problem, instead of addressing and attempting to solve a problem you make personal and insulting attacks on people. Again, I am very thankful to NAM for allowing this business to be exposed for what it is. They make some products well and some not so well but they financially exploit their customers and then treat them with disrespect after they were lied to about how long the order would take to ship, and made to wait for months on end...Then they act like they are the victims of their customers. Because of the information provided by this forum I will never do business with them, nor will I ever recommend others to do so.

And I like my silly name.

Keep in mind that satisfied customers don't tend to run off to the forums to tell people how it went. So for every bad review their could be 10 happy customers. For such a specific business such as AC most the MINI community that would buy his stuff is probably on one of the major mini forums so that ratio may not hold up as much.

Agreed. IMO happy customers of any business don't express good feedback unless they are asked directly. On the other hand a pissed off customer will go out of their way to let it be known. Especially with MINI's. Happy customers are out driving and enjoying thier cars and they don't have a lot of time to post praises online. Why? Because they are enjoying their cars and life's.

It has been my experience that people that continually complain about the same thing over and over online have nothing better to do. Get a life. Go enjoy your car.

I have always had great service from aesthetic creations and they will continue to get my business in the future.

It appears that this thread has outlived it's usefulness - everyone appears to have received what they ordered.
