i've searched this but didn't find anything for it, all other thread's are for adding more sun protection or was it a good idea or many other stuff, but well i'm looking to remove the sunroof shade because i just got a union jack flag and it already blocks the sun and i like it how it looks from the inside.

its not easy...while i have never removed mine. I did get to see it up close when i switched my interior color to anthracite. Which means you have to remove sunvisors, grab bars, sunroof trim, dome light, clock, rearview mirror, and a,b,and c pillars, just so you can slide the headliner out. even with the headliner out, the shade was still hidden inside the sunroof unit. I didnt go any further at that point.

you have quite the task on your hand. I had a thread a while back about headliner compatibility , i posted a few pics that give some insight on how to remove some of the interior bits. goodluck!

Yeah, i've always wanted to take it apart and change the material with a solid fabric, but even after removing all that stuff, I wasnt about the tear into to that panoramic sunroof... there are a few ppl that have done sunroof deletes, they may have a few different viewpoints to add.

 

You could always just retract it no? You will still see the handle but it is a lot easier than taking out the headliner.

 

yeah i think i´ll keep it retracted as it is many hours of work
