oppinions needed

My mini goes into the bodyshop this week to repair some bumper damage caused by my friendly neighbor's inability to back up. While it's there I'm thinking of having them paint my wheels, since they'll have dark sivler already mixed up... They're the stock R84s, only 16s but I like 'em for some reason, they've grown on me since I got the car. I'm a big fan of dark colored wheels, especially with a polished lip. So I got to fiddling with Photoshop and this is what I ended up with. Basically the spokes are painted dark silver, the rest of the wheel is masked off and left the original silver. Part of me likes how this looks, another part of me says it's cheesy and I should either leave them as-is, or paint the entire wheel DS. And I know, I know, I should jsut get new wheels... I have expensive taste, the only wheels I've seen that I really like enough to be willing to commit to are $2500 or more, and like I said, I really don't mind these, for stock wheels I think they look decent.

Anyway, can I get some thoughts on this? I need help making my mind up.

Well going off what malcon said, the Webs are 2 piece with a polished (or aluminum) lip.... those 16s arent.... IMO itll look a little cheesey as its paint/paint....not paint/metal

but the more i look at it..... it does look gooooood

grrrrrrr. I can't decide. I'm worried about it looking cheesy as you said, since they're obviously not 2-piece wheels. It looks cool in the picture but I'm just afraid it'll look dumb in real life....

Didn't someone on here (Konky maybe?) do this with S-lites a while back? I swear I saw that.

ugh.

Looks good to me. It's not like you're going to add decals to pretend that they're 2 pieces.
