Tint... Clearbra question regarding bonnet stripes.

Am about to go to Accutint for tinting and clearbra install. As far as the tint goes I was thinking 35% but am wondering if that is too light, maybe 20% all the way around and 10% on the sunroof? I've got a dark silver with black roof.

And what I'm actually curious about is the bonnet stripes with clearbra. I'm thinking it would make way more sense installing the clearbra under the bonnet stripes. Though my left bonnet stripe already has a smidge missing from a pebble or something.

Somehow it seems bad to have the stripes under the clearbra, am I wrong?

I've already got the black stripes since it came with the car. Would rather not have to buy new ones though since that'll add costs to the already expensive clearbra.

Is it really worth it? What's the best bet as far as install goes? I guess I can at least buy the stripes again and just have Accutint install them right after the clearbra for me. Can the existing stripes be used?

My installer installed the black bonnet stripes on the hood, then he actually cut the clear bra, so they would not overlap the bonnet stripes. He told me he does this, just in case the stripes need to be replaced, which makes sense.

Strips are cheap and should always go on top of clearbra

600+ for clearbra
80 for stripes

Which would you rather replace first?

Yeah that does make sense. I guess I should either do this (which would probably be the cheaper route. Or pay a bit more and have new stripes installed on top of the clearbra...

I like the stripes and don't plan on getting rid of them so I guess it won't really matter if the clearbra is cut around them.

Does that look okay though, does it make the edges more noticeable since you have 4 more of them now? Would think it'd look better just having the stripes covering the bra.

cutting it around the stripes will make for more possible edges to peel and get wax stuck underneath. Take Twister's advice and stripe over the clearbra.

And my advice is to tint it 20% (5% on sunroof)
