Km/h only speedometer

Does anyone know where to find a km/h speedometer? I know the stock us version we have has km/h in small numbers but i want it to be the main huge numbers. I have searched here and google for km/h euro canada cant find anything. i want to keep my speedometer but remove the us faceplate and put on a euro/canadian one. thank you!

You may want to ask this in 1st gen, rather than the 2nd gen. My guess, call any Canadian MINI dealer, they should be able to get you one.

Check with OutMotoring too, I know they make gauge faces, including custom ones, I wouldn't be surprised if they carried K/mH faces.

If you replace the whole assembly some of your indicator/warning lights will be different symbols and in different locations.

Glad you found a source. But I have to ask, why?

I have a Canadian spec MINI, and living down here, it's fun having the locals think we're going 130mph down the highway

That is exactly why I have a digital speedo i look at (ive probably looked at the center speedo 5 times in the last 3 years and only because i had my digital set to mpg) Since I dont use it, id like it to feel more british as well as trip people out when on the highway.

Really? That would be Awesome, I dont have $150 for 2 faceplates when all I am going to do is replace the speedo. If I could get my hands on just a speedo faceplate i would love that. How much would you want for one?

But British spec has mph dials, not km/h. Other measures in Britain (e.g. weight and temperature) have gone to metric but they still use miles for distance. They speak of consumption in mpg (imperial gallons).

Your location says Australia. Don't you have the reversed dials (center tach, steering column speedo).

That is correct. In Australia for them to be compliant they have to have the Speedo where your tacho is. We can't get what you guys have unless we completely changed the wiring harness which I am not prepared to do. I really like our large tacho where it is. I think the new R56 thogh have the speedo in the dash as they relaxed on the Legislation for it.

Ah forgot about that. Yeah as Scolburn said we have ours swapped. I have the chrono pack so both of mine are in front of me anyway.
