So did anyone actually change their sprayer yet? I'd really like some misters and would love to know what fits. I don't have heated nozzles, so that is not a consideration.

I've tried a few. There are two fundamental problems. 1: the stock Mini ones are very large and have a large hole in the bonnet, 2: the Mini screen is very steeply raked, so most washer jets aim too low.

I've tried the following all have a good mist pattern, but are smaller than stock, aim too low and are not adjustable.
Citroen Xsara, Alfa Romeo 156, Subaru Impreza R.

I'm currently running some Volvo V70 ones which whilst they're not a mist, have 4 jets instead of 2 and are adjustable enough to hit the screen in the right place. They're still smaller than the Mini ones so don't quite cover the hole in the bonnet. They needed some modification to fit.

I'm still looking for more to try, if anyone has any suggestions

Just fyi, most US domestic sprayers are really inexpensive even brand new from the dealer. I have a pair of 300C sprayers sitting at my shop, maybe I should pop on in and see if it works.

Anybody had any luck with this yet? I have been very eager to do this. My fiance's '06 Forester has the fan spray type nozzles. I looked at them are they are smaller than the Mini's but I might see if there's some way I could modify a set without making it look ghetto/cheap.

Wanting to do the same. A fan spray pattern would do much better than the OEM nozzles.

Ive seen a washer nozzle adjuster [below] but I dont know if it would work on a Mini's nozzle. This is a great thread and I couldnt agree more. I avoid using my washers at all costs especially if I am ever on the freeway since it ends up dripping in the car...

I have access to a micro surgical machine shop, which means I can get a hold of small stainless tubing. I may look at how the mini washers are made and see if I can create a push in fitting that will shoot out a fan spray or mist spray.

It does. I've adjusted the nozzles on all of our MINIs to set each (pair) of spray tips so that one sprays high and the other a bit lower. THe fluid is distributed across the windscreen better so the blades do a better job. Also FWIW - you should wipe your blades with a moist and clean rag every time you wash your car. It will clean the gunk off of them and allow them to do the intended job.
