I have a garage but am too scared trying this mod by myself. Anybody else interested in doing a Joey-mod day or something? I can host it if 2 "competent" people are interested and think they can do it, but don't have access to a garage or a heat gun. Let me know.

 

don't use a heat gun, use an oven.
10 min @ 250F - keep the light in the center of the oven - rubber suction cup (might find one on something in your shower) to pull the light casing off.

sorry, i'm not in the bay area, but i wanted to chime in with that. i've seen a lot of headlights turn paperweights cuz of heat guns.
