Looking for aftermarket products that are designed to make it easier for you to have your canine companion ride in the boot area of the MINI.

Emphasize -- rear seats down configuration.

I have seen options for DIY mods using large pieces of plywood, but was wondering if any manufactured products are actually produced, such as canvas covers for rear seat backs and boot, or something like that? Seems like they make this stuff for every other kind of car, and seems like there are a lot of dog owners out there who would like there friend to ride in comfort in the back of their MINI. I already have a boot mat, but I am looking for with more coverage and even something that might even out the surfaces from boot to seat back (not made out of wood).

Prefer not to have to build something from wood (i.e. Home Depot), don't have the tools, the workplace, or the place to stash the monstrosity when it is not in use.

Something that collapses or is made of a heavy fabric and padding, I don't know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There are previous threads showing seat and side covers sewn together to protect them from claws, hair and drool. Animal carrier is much easier and safer for your caninie friend. That's what my beagle and I do. Sometimes I drive and she rides in the carrier, and every so often we switch...

God speed.

There is an OEM product that a dealer can sell to you (recommend Classic, an MCO sponsor, and gives good discounts on parts). It's two part plastic liner that will cover both your boot well and the seat backs with seats in the folded position. I rarely have passengers, so I tend to leave my seats down with the liner on it all the time. It's probably the best "mod" that I've made so far...
