Spoiler Lip?

I just bought a MCS rear spoiler to replace my optional non S spoiler. I want to get one of those extra lip extension spoiler things. What are my options?
The one on AutoXCooper is $250! Which is completely too expensive. Are there any other brands?

To my knowledge AutoX makes the only one out there. Meantime keep your eyes open for a used one in the marketplace. One just sold there recently for 100.

Getting the current one off is done by unbolting the two bolts and with some fishing line, correct?

Putting the new Cooper S spoiler on, what should I use for the glue? Some kind of silicone stuff I am guessing, but what?

Thanks

id imagine you'd be okay just bolting it up along with some double stick tape. thats what the S spoiler is held on with to begin with...

Just be careful when removing the nuts so they dont fall inside the boot

I suggest leaving them on a few turns while using the dental floss too so it doesnt fall off.

The S-Wing can go back on using some 3m tape and the nuts which you just removed. No glue needed like the JCW Wing.

I have the black Palo lip, it fis perfectly and looks great. A nice subtle spoiler extension. Palo has 2 available for the R53 spoiler, don't get the larger CF model. It simply did not mate up to my OEM spoiler.

The only issue with this lip is that all Palo stuff is way overpriced.

If that was after we started selling them from JSart I'd like to know.

All the text at http://www.autoxcooper.com/Jsart_Mini_Wing_Tip.html was approved by Joel at JSart. He had been selling them under cost one at a time before we started working together.

You guys should have a sale.

Why is it that I could find an okay spoiler for less than $250 and yet this little lip is just that?

I wouldn't spend more than $100 on that, as good as it may be. Its just not worth that much money. Sorry.

As for the attachment of my new 'S' spoiler. You say I can just use the tape that is on my current one, or get new tape? And by that you mean the foam, double sided 3M tape, right?

Thanks everyone.

im failing to see anywhere on the site where anyone could mistake who designed the lip...unless it was just changed...it even have a section dedicated to JSart and a brief background.

and i would use new 3m tape.better safe than sorry.

yeah...the grey with red tape. it's sold as '3M Trim Tape' I think...either that or get the 3M VHB (though you'll never get it back off)
