Horns are a safety device and should be used as such, not to show displeasure or impatience as is (sadly) common these days. Any horn that is loud enough to to be heard by someone who is (assuming above) about to get into an unsafe situation at the distance they are currently at is adequate (highway speeds it can be over 100 feet away.)

Factor in quiet luxury sound insulation and loud radios and you have to wonder if the stock system really can help you try to correct an impending accident when a horn is finally needed.

Since I first heard the Italian sound (read Ferrari) over 30 something years ago, no horn has ever sounded right to me besides that one, but no matter what tone one prefers, make sure when you have to use it, the intended recipient can actually hear it.

Are you planning to use this in your car (or on a bike)? If it's for the car, no one will see it, and you're paying a lot extra for the chrome plating...seemingly for no reason. If you don't need the chrome, you certainly could do better: http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...t+air+horns.do...And, this was only the first place I looked!

** * looking for my OEM horn location & wire. Can anyone show a photo of the location & wire?

I picked up my horn for about $65. Definate deal if you check the web address I left. If I don't like it it will go onto my '56 Ford.

You could say something maybe the guy is thinking ahead.
* ** Try thinking before you try trashing ** *
The taste was chrome on most vehicles -'56 Ford.

Stebel out of the way & hidden.

Planted the relay & fuse in CAI box.
Tied into right horn wires which were destroyed & kept left hooked up.
All worked out perfect & luv the pitch with the left horn included.

Trashing?? I was just trying to help, bro! I effortlessly found you a better deal, and wanted to make sure you, at least, knew about it. Of course, if you had made any indication at all that you actually wanted the chrome version (I EVEN ASKED), then your paying (still, too much) more would have made, at least, a little sense to me.

To the person who sent me a pm about this post ...

To whom it may concern,

I received your pm about agranger's air horn that I mentioned in this thread. In replying to you, I realized my message box was full so I deleted my Inbox and therefore (stupidly) deleted your message (!). The answer to your question is in this thread. I hope that helps!
