Another DIY splitter story

I used a template from "MC 2" ( thanks again ) to load on computer and after a few trial paper patterns cut it out on the CNC machine. I used 3/16'' Black ABS Plastic which is textured on one side and smooth on the other. I covered the smooth side with carbon fiber vinyl. I used 4 turnbuckles just to be different but may eventually take them off as I think it looks just as good or better without them..I also covered what I could on the turnbuckles with the same vinyl to go along with my blacked out chrome look. Lastly covered the front edge with some black trim edging..

4' x 8' ABS was $60 and I was able to cut 5 splitters out of it. I hope to be able to sell the others to recoup some of the cost to mine.
ABS plastic $60
Turnuckles $50 a pair
Carbon Fiber Vinyl $90 might be able to cover 2 more though.

NIce job, but 2 turnbuckles too many for me - maybe go with none to give a cleaner look.

Very nice.
I agree turnbuckles 4 is to many. I think it would look good without any but 2 would give assurance of it staying where intended.

Can someone drop a link to the carbon fiber splitter supports I've seen others use? I'm getting a splitter for my cat soon and I'm toying with the idea of using the external supports. These look interesting - if I weren't getting a carbon fiber one I'd definitely be interested in these. Thanks!!

Looks good the only thing that is a little weird is where you mounted the turnbuckles. I like the way the ones on the drag MINI look...

I like those also but I wanted to put them in areas that if I took them off you wouldn't see the holes as bad and or I can cover that area with black vinyl..
The ones in the grille can't see and the fog light area I already have black vinyl in there, so I would just fill the hole with alittle putty and recover in vinyl..
