Flame on, Johnny!

So, boys (and grrrrllllss) tell me what you think of my latest hot mod to my (Mini) hot rod:

http://picasaweb.google.com/rlwainwright/FlameOnJohnny#

I bought these years ago and used them for a while on my Taurus SHO. I then pulled them off and stashed 'em on a shelf. As I was cleaning my office last night, I found 'em and figgered "What the hell, they might look pretty cool on my new toy..."

Tell me what you think...

I've never been a fan of flames, but the colors work nicely. And in a sea of the same mods, it is different.

Would look real good coming out of the side scuttles rather than randomly appearing on the bonnet.

Ha!

I have the same flames! I bought them years ago as a joke Xmas gift for my wifes Lexus ES300 because she complained it looked like every other grey green car in the parking lot...........

Turned out she loved them!

When she got her new Audi they didn't quite fit so I ran them for a while on my MCS, out the side scuttles, as mentioned above.........

well, even if im the only one to say it.... they look completely hideous

you could complete the look with some of those stick on vents and light up washer nozzles at Pepboys or Walmart

They are wonderfully hideous!

(Is that any better? )

I thought RLW was looking to get flamed.

I'm with Malcon on this one--if you have nothing positive to say in a thread, then don't post. After everyone who has something positive to say does so, the thread naturally disappears to page 2, then page 3 and then...forever.

Now remember, I ASKED for folks' honest opinions. If IWashMyCar thinks they're hideous then good on him!! I'm just having some fun with this and I have no problem with people criticizing my actions.

Perhaps I will move them around to the scuttles and see how they look there.

And please, keep your honest opinions coming, I am not in the least bit upset...

And MiniDave, if you'd like to sell the ones you have, I'd be interested in buying them.

What kind of place would this be if you didn't hear the good and the bad. It comes down to the OP if they like them or not. The OP did ask for opinions.

As for me, not my cup of tea. Props for trying though.

BTW, where did you get those flames? They look like they'd be fun to play around with.
