Rear/cargo cover?

Can anyone recommend a good cargo cover? I have dogs that I want to carry in the car. I'm looking for a quality one that covers not only the floor but also the sides of the area as well as the backs of the front seats.

As far as i know there are really only two companies that make them in the style you ar looking for.

1. Mini - Check with the parts department at your local dealer or call one of the dealers in the Vendor listing

2. Pooch Style - I have seen these, they are very nice and come in a variety of colors or fabrics.

I have seen others but they have been of very poor quality and looked as if they would not stand up to a dog using them.

Heres a great one. I have it in mine as im a Car Valeter/Detailer and use my car for work. It covers the whole of the boot up to the back of your seats and up the side walls to the windows etc.

Genuine MINI post Worldwide aswell so can send to you where ever you are.

mini sells one.

i like it, just don't want to pay that sorta money.

Get your dogs seatbelt harnesses and put a thick blanket on your back seats. The harness keeps them in place (not to mention just as safe as a human in the event of an accident) and keeps them from scratching your plastic.

The only problem with that is that some of us have dogs that are to big to fit in the back seat. and need the extra space provided by the back seats being down in our Clumban.

But i agree if the dog is smaller then that would be the cost effective way and also allow for easy removal and safety.

Make one yourself! Canvas(tough enough for them claws) is cheap through Home Depot(around $15 would get you more than enough). I use the fake floor flap in the rear(the flap that separates the hidden boot) as an anchor point and velcro on rear plastic points as well as loop around rear headrests. This way you can fit it with the rear seats up or down. I made mine to cover just the carpeted parts(pretty much the whole boot and back of rear seats) but you can easily cover more. I'm no tailor but it was very doable.

I think I'll pass on the genuinemini one as its s bit over $200 after shipping. Morristown Mini is about the same after shipping.

I know I've seen one company that has one for about $100 and it is a thick material. Only problem is that I lost the favorite I had that was 'tracking' it. I'll keep looking. I was hoping someone on here may have seen it and know the site.

And, of course, now I just found it. Unfortunately they do not make one for the Mini. But, here is the link - http://www.hatchbag.com/suvcargoliner_hatchbag.php

Well if you want something to protect your car, dont go cheap as it always leads to repaires. BUY CHEAP BUY TWICE.

There's a big difference between cheap and finding the best for your money. I find the best quality for a certain price and if its not good enough for me then I move up the scale. But I'm not going to just start out paying full price for the highest priced item. Thats a great way to end up with average items having paid way too much. There is an cost efficient way to approach these things, and I was asking for suggestions along that route.
