Taking HID bulb out.

How do I take the bulb out? I took the 2 clips that hold the silver box in, but cant take the bulb out becuase the wire is in the way, is there away to get the bulb out?

If you look into the light fixture there is a clip that holds the braided light wire tought. if you take this off the wire has more slack. You will have to pull the bulb out of the holder then turn it 90 degrees so the wire that connects to it has enough room to alloy the bulb to come out. Its a really odd set up and dont know why its been done like it but they will come out. You dont have to be as gentle as you'de think just watch the end of the bulb as it comes out as it comes out on an abscure angle. I changed mine not long ago for some 8000K ones as the stock ones are still pretty much a yellow halogen looking colour.

If you need any more help let me know.

Joe

Sorry, I haven't been checking this thread. Yes, all you do is pull on it you have to be quite firm. The 8000K are really blue and make the car you even higher class when they are installed, its now the first thing people say to me after "Is this the turbo one"? .

I will get some pics up for you soon but at the moment my car is with my dealer having the engine replaced after the oil pump broke and screwed the engine.
