Around the car trim...

This isint my car but its a good example because it has white rims. Now i dont know if i should do the area circled in red white only or the red and blue, because im thinking with the white rims also it would be to much. I wanna get it down so i can start tommorow

Well if you were going to do it, I think I'd do it all and not just the sills...but I get what you mean about it against the white wheels.

What about doing it in body color instead?

I would do it body color. I've seen a few MINI's that do it roof color or other colors and it looks a little funny.

i think body color will look better. It may start to look a little to cluttered once you start painting everything contrasting colors. less is more.

if i do it body color it wont look like the body because metal and plastic look different when painted.

Not true in the least. The same primer goes on, so it will look identical, so long as you go to a respectable shop

You'll look like Santa's sled if you paint them white

I agree with the crowd. Body color will look right. If you want to add some white accents you could do some vinyl work along the bottom of your doors to draw the wheels together. Chances are if you don't like the black all around you won't like the white either.

Good luck! Whatever you decide to do, post pics!

meh.. I know a car with trim painted to match the roof and it's one of the hottest mini's I've had the pleasure to see in person:

then again, I'm not a fan of body color painted arches most of the time.. so, each to his own

Maybe try Photoshopping your picture to get an idea of what it will look like?

It's just a really expensive process (most people who have had it done pay around $1000+)...I would hate for you to spend the money and go through the whole fiasco to end up hating it.

There have been a few people here who *have* done the trim in white...I just don't know who they are. Maybe someone knows and can post some pictures...

end the end. its your car man! do what you want to with it, and have fun! if we all did the same thing, these cars would get quite boring.

*boing* Popping in for some advice: It'd look cool (if done professionally, eg: sanded smooth, painted, clear coated), but that $$$ could be better spent elsewhere. *cough* like suspension *cough*

next thread... *poof*
