Might want to check the legality of having white rear turn signals... To get the clear look I would suggest some chrome plated bulbs, and not stock white bulbs.

thx

Sketch...you are correct...i just checked and where i am(NJ), you must have amber or red bulbs for rear turn lights...I think different state have different laws..oh well....now I know why they came with the amber bulbs... Don't tell anyone but I'm gonna press my luck and leave the white bulbs...yes, I am bold and crazy...HA!!

So has anyone determined whether the tail lights can be pried apart to remove the orange lens and replace it with a clear lens? Is it similar to the headlight where it just needs to be heated up and pulled apart. If anyone has any information, please pass it along. Thanks.

I tried this tonight and for the life of me, I could not get the tail light assembly off. It looked like it was getting caught at the bottom. I was able to find the tab at the top of the light and was able to get the top halfway out but not the bottom. I was scared that I was going to break something if I popped it off with some force. I don't remember this being that difficult on the R53. I just gave up and reassembled everything back. I was trying to get the minspeed rear fog light to 3rd brake light conversion done.

Make sure you pop the two tabs that are on the inboard side (towards the center of the car) first. You should be able to release 1 or maybe two more then just pull/rotate it off.

On all the mods I've done the instructions merely say "disconnect plug, wire, clip, etc". They never say "disconnect by pressing down on small tab and then rotate the locking lever 90 degrees to the rear" or "disnonnect AUX Jack by pressing the two side clips, then push unit out the front, twist sideways and pull back through the opening" which would be very helpfull.
