too much time, and he is right.. anyway..

On the Side where the MCS reflector is I have/Had a Red "S" and also on the
Boot. its a sticker that comes off/ however it general gets destroyed when
taken off. But a local shope can make a template of it and make me some
new ones in different colors. Currently they are off and so its a Chrome "S"
Looks pretty good with the Black/Black. I was wanting to make the "S" Black
also, anyone else done this and have Pic's. thought it would be fun...

Red at least I am not taking Pic's of ButterFinger bars today.

I don't have pics either but I have seen this done. The red S color was peeled off completely and it was just a metallic silver left- Was OK. Only done on the Side S not the back.
Do you think your shop can do Gold for me or a metallic yellow? I assume it is adhesive?
The Red S is nice but too usual for me. Any other ideas? And no you don't have too much time to think about your MINI.
It comes as a normal brain function for some people. Well, OK they are MINIholics.

 

Hmm, Ill check with them. I'm liking the silver look, but was wanting to be
able to change the mini just a bit, based on my Mood....

i did mine freehand with white reflective tape. looks cool. i'd show you but my personal webspace thingie is apparently on the blink.

Red, dont worry you have talked me out of chorme. I am now getting the guys
that paint for the dealership to paint my unpainted scoop DS. I still have to
afix my small upper grill part ( I need stands and a good Jack). I am however
thinkng about tinting the rear break lights.

Are u using the black scoop ? have not seen it in any of your posts?

even though i have the dark BFP carbon fiber scoop as well

i think the black looks better, my friends think the CF looks better

cant make up my mind.

i am too poor for a digi cam, thus u havent seen it yet in the pics

Why?? That's like taking the checkers off the checkered flag emblem of the Corvette. Its a symbol of the car. I just don't get it. To each his own I guess. And your right you have to much time on your hands to think of something like this.

Didnt someone here on MCO have a CF 'S' for their MCS?

 

The rear hatch S looks all chrome but the side S grille emblem has a little reflective base so the real thing looks like a silver S emblem on the grille- it's really not bad at all and definitely different than having the red S.

I first noticed it on a MCS in the dealership up on a rack in the middle of getting the JCW kit added. And it stuck out that the red S was gone and replaced but it still looked like it as a stock appearance. Not bad at all.

The rear hatch S looks plainer to me without the colors. I'd change that one to pearlescant with gold trim or something.
