HELP Needed (and a RANT)

HELP! In March of 07 I bought the COOPERSPORT Driving lights that they had on their website (two lights). They looked great and worked great. Well, I took a rock in one of them and now need to replace the glass. I contacted what I thought was COOPERSPORT only to find out they were bought out by some other company (biminiman? something like that?)...and the guy that emailed me back said (and this is paraphrased by me, but this is what it sounded like) "I can't help you. We don't carry those lights. Too bad, so sad"....I hate getting blown off by someone who is/was supposed to be a supporter of the MINI community
All that being said, does anybody else have the coopersport driving lights? If so, do you know who the manufacturer is? Barring all that, any ideas on how/where to get a replacement glass? Man, I am steamed!

Oh, and there are pictures of my lights in my gallery if you want to see them

OUCH!

I don't have those driving lights (I have the OEM ones...) but when you do find a replacement lens, you may want to consider putting some "clearbra" material on them.

Schultze's headlights, front turn signals, foglights, and driving lights all have the 3M protection--it's thicker than the 3M product for the paint protection and it's VERY durable.

Good luck!

Any idea on the brand of lights they are? Hella, PIAA, IPF?

Just try and call/email the company (maker of the lights) and ask them to purchase a replacement. That's what I did with my PIAA's (bought off ebay retailer) when one of the lenses broke. I called PIAA and they just directed me to a retailer that sold lenses for them, I think it was http://www.4wheelparts.com/. Funny, I had to buy lenses for my mini from a 4-wheel drive truck shop.

Good luck.

Why would you get upset at a company that had nothing to do with your purchase? Yes they did apparently buy out Coopersport, but that doesn't mean they are obligated to continue to support products they have decided not to carry. Is biminian(?) a vendor here?

BigShot: Well that's the rub, now isn't it? Coopersport is still listed as a NAM vendor, AND there is still their website (coopersport.com)...there's no mention of the fact that you aren't doing business with coopersport. When you contact them (like I did) you get some other company and (in my perspective, as the CUSTOMER) a BS response that equates to getting blown off. Yeah, okay, you're right...it was only about $200...but I ordered them and installed them myself, and it was something I was really proud of (and they looked awesome).....and now I can't get any f&^&*&(&^^(*'ing support out of the company that sold them to me? That's crap.
