Interior/Exterior Sparco install help
yup, I need help.
Has anyone ordered a Sparco? Have you noticed you get crap in the box for install?
I open the box and there is a funky L shaped braket and a square base thingie. The base does mount to the floor, but not to the seat in any fashion. I assume (yeah, yeah, I know what happens) the L thing is for the seat belt.
I removed the base/sliders off the existing seat and that doesn't line up with the holes in the bottom of the sparco.
And, the seat belt torx bolt is tightened down on the orginal seat like a mother.
And doublely, the friggin' sliders don't work now that I am trying to reinstall the old seat waiting for instructions on the new one.
Anybody? Help? A little piity here?
TIA
David

Hello David,
Don't know what seats you got but I'll tellyou what I did.
I got a pair of Sparco pro-2000 seats with the sliders and tilt base...well for starters, the sliders mount to the floor just fine, the tilt bases don't line up for some reason and are extremely heavy.
So I went to plan "b"which was to return the tilt frame and get a pair of side mount
brackets. These worked well for two reasons:
1- The side brackets when mounted to the sliders raise seat height approx. 1", which I needed to equal the lowest setting on the OEM seats.
2- The side brackets give you tilt adjustment since these seats can't be reclined.
Access to my back seat is nearly impossible due to bolt-in Autopower cage, don't plan on putting anything back there anyway.
Only one minor aggravation was the holes on the bottom flange of the (steel) sidemounts. they were off laterally by 1/4", had to slot holes to align with sliders.
Good luck,
Paulo

Thanks...
I got a Torino seat. The seat tips forward and back, and I was under the impression it slides that way too, but there doesn't seem to be sliders in my brackets box.
