Any easy way to remove gauge/AC rings?

I want to paint the rings around my gauges/AC vents but hate the thought of disassembling the dash just to do it. Anyone know if they come off any other way?

I know this is an old post. But is there any way to get these off easy? I want to paint mint red. Do they just pop off?

You would require to cut some plastic on the inside.
and after you paint rings just put it on a glue. I've done that with speedo, tach and ac vents in center (planning to paint side vents in future)
