Interior/Exterior Joey-Mod ver. I can't believe I actually did it!!
Once you crack it open, i believe you will find that the amount of silicone they used was more than enough. I have ran mine for months now, been through automatic washes, and coin operated washes, intentionally trying to get them to leak or fog up...no issues yet. I even sprayed the high pressure washer directly on them. You can add more if u wish but you have to be careful because when you squeeze them back together, you may get excess silicone squirting out and becoming visible on the lens.
here are the two ive done for my car. Started with the 04 style, then upgraded to the 05

and finally..

instead of paint, i used plasti-dip on mine...much easier..
Oh, and I used the oven method. I feel comfortable knowing the temp is constant, with a blow dryer or heat gun id be afraid holding it one place for too long and melting the housing.

So what did you do for temperature and how long?
230 degrees for 6mins. for the 05+ headlamps
i had to end up cutting the 04 ones open. I put them in at 350 and they still wouldn't pry free. the housing weakened before the adhesive did. they started to melt a little...and thats when i resorted to cutting. they still worked after i finished, no harm done.

I have done both styles of lights, the 02-04 are MUCH harder to get apart. the adhesive they use is a tape, where as the 05-06 uses a type of silicone. You will have to use silicone on the earlier styles because the tape becomes practically useless. however, with the 05-06 you can reuse the original silicone. I didnt add any to mine. Just heat it back up again so that it will adhere to the lens better.
how did you do to the 03 xenons model?
ok....i tried to get my headlight apart (followed the EDDIE MOD) today and nope.... it was useless, there was noway that i can open that d***m thing apart :(...... and i got a hole on the side of my black housing :( i'm so depress right now

yes im doing 03's too and damn what a pita any ifo would be greatfull
Okay, so I did a set of 03 Xenons, i believe a picture is posted above (astro black with astro black painted headlights and CF hood)..edit-> pic is on page one and the very bottom post on a rainy spring day last year!
It took a whole night just to separate, tape off and sand the headlight alone...in terms of the process, it took a heatgun on low heat and from a distance of about a foot just to make sure i didnt melt anything...i also used an exacto knife and dremel to cut out as much of the adhesive as i could...this is VERY tedious and not for even the mildly patient at all!!!! u must be willing to have this literally take days!!!!
I actually located some urethane from Germany that companies use to secure for outdoor use, such as lights and such, and when I re-adhered the headlights with what remainder glue was left, I put a very thick coat of urethane around the seal, and when it dries, cut any extra that was not needed out (urethane turns into almost thick rubber when dried)...from there, did a simple pressure test and everything was PERFECT!!!

If anyone needs some specific pointers, feel free to msg me and i would be more than happy to help you out!!

yes, get it hot, wear gloves...you'll need them. also there are, i believe 3, tabs around the housing, that you need to cut the glue away from. they look like black nubs. (the glue is black) those tabs will hold the lense on even if you free the rest of the lens. do like prezzz said and cut it up as best as possible.
it really is a true pain and took me a couple days...lots of cussing, cutting, and bleeding, but they eventually come apart. once you do the first one, the 2nd one is MUCH easier

I have an early 02 MC. I think I will just dremmel the headlights like I did with my tail lights. And that took me four days to do. I hate my car.
