I've noticed that in the short time that I've had the car looking like this I haven't gotten a cute comment, nor have I been asked what kind of gas mileage I'm getting. Now it's car guys asking what has been done to the car as far as performance and compliments overall appearance of the car. A welcome change becuase I was really getting annoyed being asked at every stoplight what my gas mileage was. It was becoming a automated response; "28 in the city, 40 on the hwy, I've got a lead foot so it could be more if I wanted". I got thumbs up from a WRX and a M3 yesterday, both of which I always see on a regular basis who never gave me a second glance before.

Yours is perhaps the most "un-cute" MINI I've ever seen or heard.

It's loud, mean, and serious. I guess it's all about perspective. Maybe those folks that say that just need a "ride" to see the light.


BTW, the OP's car is awesome looking. Nice job.

 

Are you going to take Pepe and the now cosmetically enhanced goth mini to MINI Takes the States in Chicago? I wanted to go but after reading the comments about the Boston event, I am not too sure I am going to regret missing it.

And MINI picked some really really crappy bands.

 

When is it going through chicago? (sorry haven't been following) it's not too far from here.

If we're free, I might see about going, but I'm stacked this summer until september with details and other commitments, so we'll see.

 

I had to look it up - July 25-27. I don't know why but I had thought it was this weekend.

all of my girlfriends are doing their minis sort of the same way, especially the blackout stuff and the little engagement ring hanging off the front and those huge runway lights...it just shouts look at me i've got my little black dress and highheels on tonight and am ready to hook up!
