I have a 2004 Mini S with a damaged rear hatch door. I am looking to replace it with an OEM trunk. I have been considering upgrading to the Carbon Fiber trunk lid but Im just not sure. Im worried that the carbon trunk will be flimsy and noisy. Maybe not, I dont know. In my past experience, aftermarket body parts never quite line up perfect or operate quite as nicely.

 

You are correct about fit (CF)...but my hood came out nice....and I will be getting a trunk eventually....its gonna cost you more to buy a trunk on NAM (OEM) and have it shipped I think....then just going to the dealer unfortunately. I will see what I can do on price..I will let you know tomorrow...
