Interior/Exterior Shift Knob

It will slip down onto the shift lever, but the anti-rotation key inside the Bimmer **** will not reach down into the slot at the top of your lever, and the **** will be able to spin around.

For 2007, MINI modified the shift lever, switching to the same dimension that's used for the BMW lever.
So it's the same situation as with a BMW ****. The R56 **** will fit on the lever, but will spin around.

It's obvious that you are a skilled machinist with years of experience.
What would you be willing to make these for, in small quantities?
Don't forget to include in your price quote custom CNC engraving, as well as lots of computer time, helping to generate the designs.
Sharpen your pencil, come up with a good number, and perhaps I'll consider outsourcing to you.

i work on cnc machines and do really intricate engravings and carvings and what not....
considering a $50/hour wage for a cnc operator/designer and an average of 1-2 hours for custom work, materials cost, operating expense i.e. oxygen depending on the type of cnc, the cost of cnc machine itself, and try t turn a profit....all and all very fairly priced....
thats the problem with people, they want everything for nearly free, never considering the seller always wanting the better end of the deal
"oh its just a little engraving a few curves here and there and tahts all"

None of that is the point, to people who look at an item for what it is.
$150 for a two and a half inch (give or take) ball, no matter how wonderful it may look, is excessive to some-to-many people.
I'm making my own, as well. If it comes out well, and stays in place, I'll post some pics.

In order to look at an item for what it is, a person first has to KNOW what it is.
Most folks these days have absolutely no clue about custom-designed, engineered and individually-fabricated items.
Chalk it up to the "mass-produced in China, sold at every Wal Mart" mentality.

Hey, why not? After all, I made this Lamborghini **** for my BMW.
(Actually, I used a "blem" BMW **** to test the engraving program, before doing the "real" Lambo ****.)
