I had installed the OEM driving lights and decided to upgrade to 4 PIAAs. Left the relay, fuse and interior wiring inplace and spliced in the wiring for the 4 lights under the hood ( in parrallel ). I run a ground check and alles klar. So... on my way home from a little road trip, I'm running with all lights on when my PIAAs began to flicker. I pull over and check it out and they are flickering on and off at a steady interval. I check the relay and damn near lost some skin it was so hot. talked to Lee at NW mini and he says that I probably ran too much current through it. Here's the rub, the relay is a cool bill ! ($100). And I would burn it out eventually too. Would wiring them in series make any difference besides the second in the series being a bit dim? Not enough of an electrician to know. Also , has anyone lese come up with a better alternative besides throwing a new relay at it? I like my switch and that it lights up at night but I like my lights better.
