Interior/Exterior How to Remove Mirror Caps
Here is a thread with the easiest/safest method I've seen. I have two sets of mirror caps that I interchange a couple of times a year with this method.
Don't use a screwdriver on the seams. There are 5 or 6 clips inside the cap that hold it on. A screwdriver in the seams won't do anything but leave nasty marks.
