I was under the impression that this group buy was over. For us guys who cant get 5 shipped to the same location, dont wanna pay 160 something for shipping, and dont want to wait 7 weeks etc. and would rather go a different route, its a great alternative. Sorry to get you all mad

Where are the CF roofs?

 

Duell sells a CF roof "cap". Not exactly great for weight reduction....but it still gives you the look people want.

 

It is if you eliminate the moon roof Plus it will lower the center of gravity of the car

 

You could always cut the steel roof off and attach the carbon one like a BMW CSL. It's not like the roof has any real purpose right? Doesn't it just keep the weather out?

 

True....I guess if you put the cap over the roof and removed the moon roof underneath it, you could still lose some weight . I just meant that you still keep all that metal under there too.

I bet they could make one. Guess you could always just cut a hole for the sunroof and re-gloss the edges again.

I'm sure you could find a local shop that would make you the same product formed to your roof. Probably a hundred times cheaper than trying to import that roof from japan.

That roof is scary sick...scary on the bank account and just plain SICKKKKK...yeah i wonder if it would work to just delete the sunroof and place that cap on...

Another option to the roof cap is to do an overlay. This would allow for sunroof and give a selection of materials that could be used. I would like to try one with this flat tow carbon that I'm doing some parts in.

 

Hey buttface...you dont answer my texts? Anyways, theres this guy I work with that does composite work. Just yesterday he was laying cf on the helos hull to repair some damage. He gave me a quick lesson on molding cf. Very efffffn cool. He said if I wanted I could have him and his boss mold me a cf moonroof skin.....

Only panels that I haven't seen are the bumpers and rear quarter panels. They make doors, roof, hood, hatch, front quarter panels, spoilers, wheel arches, sideskirts, and front/rear lips.

 

so does VIS, and a few others here in the states, but they are pricey as they are made to order
