It'll cost more to fix his hood and paint it then to just buy a new one.
You'd have to sand it down to the fiber...which is costly and difficult w/o messing it up. Then re-gel coat it, and then paint it...hmmm... just get a new one.
The "kit" comes with a template, add a jig saw with a composite blade, and the rest was easy. Actually I paid for the install...I couldn't muster the courage to cut the CF myself.
