18's with H&R springs, and the powdercoating with sandblasting them first came to right about $60 a wheel. I can't complain I got the wheels for a flat $100 each so total they cost me $160 a piece.
Thanks for the comments. I am actually looking into coilovers right now. I want the rear to squat a little more. As for the kid.....when I snapped the picture he was yelling "I want my two dollars!"

It's the mod that consists of taking your headlights apart, and painting the insides. As you can see from mine, that it isn't chrome anymore, it is astro black and white.
did it cost much to do that? and was it a total pita?

I was thinking of the Alta stealth exhaust. Are you serious about the door handles? They just look like it would be a PITA.
As for my headlights, the total cost for me was...two cans of spray paint, fine steel wool, and some acetone. The total time it took me to do the mod was about 6 hours. The first light took me about 3.5 - 4 hours and the next light was simple. Once you figure out how all the stuff comes apart it's a piece of cake.

http://www.mightystripes.com/Stripes.htm They are the offset style. As for the white, I have debated white handles....who knows what I will do. It all depends on if I feel up to the task of taking the handles out for Lyle.
Here's a picture of mine with white handles and gas cap (kinda hard to see ni the shadow). I thought about white headlight rings but didn't think it would work, but they look better (on your red one above) than I expected (also like the white belt line...again, unexpected).
Lyle hasn't yet found a good Hyper Blue vinyl so I'm patiently waiting. I've put on an aero grill since tis was taken and have white subzeros waiting to be cleaned up, PC'ed and mounted.

To my fellow spaced roof stripes MINI:
I chose white mainly because everyone was dechroming their MINIs by "blacking" them out, so I decided to be a bit different and "white" out instead. It worked!

The white looks nice!
Are your sub zeros going to be white again? I have some new brake pads on the way...the stock pads pretty much make it so I have to at least rinse off my wheels after every drive. But then again I am OCD about the wheels being clean.

If your question was directed to me...yes, the wheels will stay white (only two really need the powder coat).

Sin MINI do you use wheel armour? I have it on the inner part of my wheels right now, but I still need to get my aftermarket low dust pads. Should be here friday!
