idea for better jack stand stability

I bought these jack stands (Torin Aluminum Jack Stands — 3-Ton, Model# T43004) because they had a flat bottom and would not dig in to my asphalt driveway. The only problem was that the MINI jack points wouldn't fit well into the top of the jack stands. So I cut a piece of wood that goes inside the jack point and also fits on the top of the jack stand.

I feel this is much better than just having a little of the jack point plastic on the jack stand.

I like to temporarily tape the wood into the jack point (picture1) and then lower the car onto it (picture 3) . You can also put the wood on the jack stand (picture 2) and then lower the car.

Here are some picture. All of them are of the drivers side (the front of the car is to the left).
