hello peter
i was wondering how i can come in contact with you via email or any other methods ?
Im highly looking at all your products for my R56 ..
and my only concern with that diffuser is the install? and by that i mean can anyone just install it or would we personally have to take it to you to get that 110 % work effort to perfection ???/

Good Morning Xypher...

The best way to contact me or anyone else here at M7 would be to
email us at peter@m7tuning.com or to call me at 562-608-8123.

The install of the diffusers would be a 5 out of 10 not bad at all.
The hardest part is to shape the lower plastic insert that surrounds
the the diffuser. If you feel shaky about the idea, take the car to your local
Mini tuner or a body shop for a top notch install.

Thank you and I do appreciate your offer, but I think Maxmini will be all
tweaked if I use your car and not his for the R53 units...

adding to that how about the Carbon fiber kit that you have mentioned ...? would that as well be the same procedure as the plastic ??
as for local mini tuner ?? where do you recommend to go ? i live in Canada ...

The insert between the bumper and diffuser will never be done in CF as the
very thin profile we would have to mold...Sorry.

The diffuser will be available in CF and or black fiberglass construction.

As for installer in Canada your on your own most likely but any shop will be able to do the install in less than 2 hrs if it's an R56 way more with the
R53 as the battery box needs deleting and the exhaust straightened out to clear the diffusers etc.

Yes you will get a "How To" for sure.

I will not quote any dates or numbers, as I need to figure R&D and mold costs involved in the project. We are getting closer for sure and you will have a product in your hand before summer....

Couple of questions for a R53... will the diffuser be for the standard S rear, or only the JCW? Also will the challenge wing be available for the R53 or can i buy the one for the R56 and just modify it to fit?

There is no special versions for the R53 application, you have to shape the rear apron to fit with the M7 diffuser. We are looking in to a R53 rear wing
application, but no promisses right now.

Thank you for your reply... so then by "shape" you mean cut a large section out ? I'm ok with that, just wondering.

Also i have no problem fabbing up an extension if needed to the wing bracket to fit the R53 ... since you have seen it would this be something that is feasable?

Yes cut out a section to fit the diffuser..

The R56 and R53 are very different in how the OE wing attaches to the body.
But with that said, we will most likely have a solution in the very near future.

Good Morning....

The wing is almost done, yes I do believe I will have a working prototype
to photograph very soon. Production parts is all depending on how fast my
composite guys can churn out the mold. Some people have been asking for a R53 version of this wing, and we will try to design one as fast as humanly possible

Diffusers are two weeks out, but it's a done deal, molds are done and we are finishing up the hanging hardware.

Pricing some where in the $695 range complete for the diffuser, but we will also offer a Carbon Fiber version for slighly more (no pricing yet).

From talking with Peter recently I think you are only days away from more info as well as pictures. The car is due to be photographed for a magazine layout next week and the wing is only one of the new products to be featured.

Who's car? Yours or his?
Peter's car looks pretty sick in that pic he posted above...not to say that your car isn't. You know what I mean.

BTW, i'll have custom straight exhaust pretty soon, so get going on the R53 diffuser.

The first version of the wing is for the R-56 ( his ) but there will be a R-53 version as well. The tunnel version of the diffuser will be available for the R-53 as well so that straight exhaust conversion will pay of shortly. The first set is going to Bob Sheer next week to test on his US Touring Car Callenge racer this season.
