Randy, how much does this weigh? Where are you going to find the room on the R53 for this product?

I have not weighed the system as yet. The tunnels are fiber glass and the center piece is aluminum. The weight is lower than the axles so that is a good thing as well. To mount this diffuser you will have to relocate the battery, remove the former holder for said battery and cut the rear fascia to match the tunnels. You will also have to convert the exhaust to a straight pipe system. It seems like a lot but at the show if we had offered it up for sale you would have heard the sounds of sawzalls all over the place

Randy,

When the kit comes out for R56, are you going to offer a pre-cut rear fascia for cooperworks body kits ?

Cheers,
Roberto

That is something we will have to take a look at as far as options wise . There are a lot of different facets to this project now that we are opening it up to the R-53 etc.

Great to meet and BS with you this past weekend, Randy.

The diffuser and the flappy paddle gearbox are really cool bits of kit! That diffuser is really comprehensive! It goes WAY further under the car than the challenge replica. Time to rent somewind tunnel time with intgrated $haker rig/$cale ...

Cheers!

I think they looked a little lower. I was wondering the same thing. But the MINI is so short that I never go all the way back in the space anyways. I wouldn't worry about it...

If you go back in the posts on this thread you find that people that want one have stated so. So the list can be updated with that information.

Also in the chats I had with the chap, he has told me a unit order of 50 ..... Which is it ( 30 or 50 ) ? What would be the estimated/projected cost ?

I want want one in MINI BLACK like shown earlier. These are hot looking wings !!

I found out after chattin with DirHong, Minimum of 30 is a very possible option $1200 +/- a bit (currency... weak dollar) it will all depend on the manufacture who is willing to run em
update the list meng!

Whether this is going to happen or not. I think it's worth giving it a try and add my name to the list first. I won't wanna miss it.

May I also be added to the list as well?? I don't have an R56 yet, but I want to make that I don't miss this opportunity and become upset when I have the car and no wing for it..

I'd just like to clarify things personally that my involvement may or may not change depending on what M7 are coming out with and at what price point it will be. However the CF/black wing on the AB Mini in the above photos is extremely enticing and pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. I could live with the plain black one quite happily too .
