Need your opinions

Hey guys I want to add a racing striping to my silver mini and want a opinion on which ones you think would look great. I want a deep dark purple like the dodge dakota truck purple or a nice blue. I paint shopped a couple pics to give your opps as my favorite color is purple but I also don't want it to look stupid or made fun of type of deal. thanks for your input!

Do what makes you happy. Who cares what everyone else thinks?
That said, I like the purple over the blue.

Like the stripe.. not the colors so much. I'd do black or a neutral color like silver or dark gray. If you really want color, so an accent color via pin stripe.

I wanted either the purple or blue because everyone does have the black and wanted something a little different that would make my car unique. Besides the purple I would like is almost such a deep purple it's almost black. I thank you so far for the all the great feedbacks..keep em comin!!!

I prefer only having two main colors on the outside of the car.

If you do another color, I think a dark purple or dark blue would look better than light ones.

However, it's your car not ours so whatever you like is what you should do.

Between blue and purple, I like the purple; but have you thought about doing one of each? With the right tones you might get something interesting. Above all, make it yours and enjoy

I like the purple over the blue. But either way will definitely make your car stand out from the rest.

If the purple is so dark as to appear black for the most part I'd say go for the blue and commit to adding some color to the mix (by the way, I like how you have the side pin stripes in blk to carry it from the roof).

I like the idea of a rich saturated hue to pop and compliment the silver for a change from the stock black or white stripes. An additional bit of it on the sides, maybe a rocker panel stripe or along the side skirt, would be good to bring it all together - maybe just a little graphic something to add a touch of the color to all views.

Either color is nice though, making it unique is fun

Sweet I am agreeing with you all and PURPLE is the winner here. I was just afraid of the two tone issue but since purple goes with both I didn't see a huge problem and the purple is going to be very deep and dark almost close to black with some metallic flakes to make it stand out a little more. I would like to paint the stripes but looks like the decals type striping is goin to have to do since it's pretty spendy for quotes I've taken around my area range from $800-$1000 instead of the lower end of $350 for the whole install and decal. Has anyone here had problems with the decals pealing on their striping?

You need another element of your exterior to be purple, otherwise I think it looks out of place. Paint your "S" on the side grills to match, or some other subtle way to make it a color scheme instead of a grey car with purple stripes.

The purple stripes work, just make another element of your design purple. Just my opinion...

my opinion too

Its not just stripes that will make it unique because eventually someone else will be discovered with purple stripes on a silver car. Do the S inserts in purple and a purple/black tow hook for a start then do the mirror caps in the same purple. Maybe purple and black two tone shift and brake boots.

Might also look cool if you get a set of wheels to match the dark purple stripes.

hmm never thought of all that what type of wheels
the side mirrors and all that other stuff you guys said is way cool too can't wait to start doin it little by little. Now if I did the entire roof to match the stripes would that look good

Deep purple stripes would look awesome on the silver. But don't do the roof to match, you'd end up with a roof that looks really detached from the rest of the car. I do agree with the others on adding a purple accent somewhere else on the car. The S would be a great place to start. You could also do the wheel center caps in purple with silver MINI text.

Keep the accents really simple or it risks taking away from the visual impact of the stripes.
