I know that there are some companies that do this, but how do they look? I want a sunroof but am not too crazy about the panorama roof. Also, anybody know how much this costs? Thanks in advance,

What's not to like about the MINI sunroof? Heat issues? Just curious. I bet it would cost more than $800 to install one after the fact, if it's even possible.

I used a company located in the LA area that would install sliding sunroofs in new BMW 320i’s in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Their sunroof was not the equal of the factory sunroof, but having the sunroof installed did help in selling the car as non-sun roofed cars were hard to sell. I am sure there is someone out there that could install an aftermarket sunroof, but I doubt it would be the equal of the factory sunroof in fit and finish. I have always been a fan of the sunroof; however I passed on one for my MCS.

I don't know about cost but I have heard a lot of bad things about a m sunroofs
ie. noise leaks etc.
I would make sure to get refrences and shop around
good luck

I always had good luck with them in our older VW's - a '67 Bug and a '70 Ghia...

Now, how 'bout someone making a sliding ragtop? That would be schweet!

Is this a joke? Aftermarket sunroofs were taken off the market in the mid 1970's.
