Will adding a sound system void the warranty? I been looking at some systems with an amp and raplacing all the speakers with boston's. I also want to add the ipod interface.

Do you have the standard system, or HIFI option? Replacing the HIFI amp with another amp did cause a problem for one person here. When he took it into the dealer to fix a DSC light problem, the dealer claimed they couldn't fix it because their software balked when it didn't find the amp. It is hard to know whether they were blowing smoke, or it was a legit problem.

I doubt whether anyone on this forum is qualified to give you a definitive answer on warranty consequences. I'm not.

However, I think it could depend on the competence of the installer. Make sure you have one who will stand behind their work and pay for any problems caused by the install.

The iPod Integration requires some software changes, so at the very least, you need to coordinate the install with a dealer. Make sure they are willing to update the software if someone else does the install. Some dealers wont.
