I need a sun strip! Were having a bit of a heat wave over here in the UK at the moment...sunglasses and the sun visor flap thing arent helping. Ive decided i want a sun strip! I have an all black mini and my theme is kind of gonna be black and red (all my mods are gonna be red). So im thinking a black sun strip with the wird mini in bold lower case in red..in the centre of the strip. What do you think???

That sounds nice! Please post a photo when you do it. If you're looking for more red stuff, you can get red leather shift boot and e-brake boot for fairly cheap - check out my thread on it in this forum!

I love hearing about British "heat waves" - that's when it gets up to like 25 C / 75 F, right?

haha! actually we hit 31-32 C!!!! which is a massive heat wave for us! its horrible heat though makes you feel horrible.
i dunno about the red leather..it always seems a dark..off kind of red! My other mods tend to be neon/ LED orientated. What do you think though..would it look good to have red leather?

Alright, that's hot. I concede. I'm ordering the leather shift and brake boots today; I'll let you know what I think when they arrive. I figure if the color doesn't match to my liking, I'll be able to sell them.

The place I'm getting the boots from has the set of both for $33 US, including custom embroidering of a few letters. Seems like a good deal to me; I'm sure you can find a comparable price over there as well if you're interested.

Yeah, I don't know why those side vents are so expensive! I probably would have replaced mine by now if they could be had for 1/3 or 1/2 that price...

Try contacting matt@cooperflags.com. They've been doing a yoeman job of getting me a custom windscreen header made - should ship at the end of this week. I have no idea about their shipping to England, but...

Also try looking a their web site http://www.cooperflags.com. (I'm not affiliated with them in any way - a (so far) satisfied customer.

FYI, I've put off ordering from NMC - I saw a picture of one of their boots, and it didn't really do it for me. Still looking...

Here in Phoenix, AZ, if it was 31-32 C then we'd be wearing sweaters and long-johns! LOL We've been around 45C lately. My next door neighbor just moved from the UK 2.5 weeks ago and yesterday he told me he's lost a stone already (he's only about 170lbs to begin with so a stone (14 lbs) is quite a lot for him. I think it's more from the stress of the relocation rather than water loss due to PHX's arid heat.

!!!!!!WE HAVE THE ANSWER!!!!!!

It's not on the site yet, but we have developed a sun visor for the front window. This is made out of the same perforated material that we use for the sunroof. This material can be printed in any color or design (Flags, checkboards, words etc. etc.)

The cost is $79.00 plus shipping of $10.00 inside the US. We are producing our first order this week and have a few more going in next week. Post questions here or e-mail me if you would like one.
