007 Squirt Gun Mod

Well, I had some time on my hands and after thinking about the rear wiper delete I knew there must be a way to make a decent squirt gun (007 style) out of what was left.

Here's what I did - maybe you have thought about this as well but here goes:

First: I went to the Dollar store and bought some funky squirt guns. I bought two because of Murphy's law.

These are cheap-os and were merely used for the nozzle and plastic lines inside of them.

So, I used some judicious leverage to get the innards out.

All I wanted was the plastic supply line and nozzles out of the guns.

Here's a picture of just the nozzle, which quite easily comes off of the white plastic supply line from the squirt gun:

Turns out the plastic (white) supply lines in the squirt guns were the perfect size to jam down the black rubber supply lines to the rear wiper on the Mini.

With the white plastic squirt gun supply line shoved down the black rubber supply line on the Mini I then attached the nozzle off of one of the cheapo squirt guns.

Notice I left enough of the white plastic line sticking out of the Mini black rubber supply line to leave a gap that I'll use to glue them all together with the best glue made EVER: Gorilla Glue - if you don't have this stuff then get it, it works on almost everything.

The glued black rubber line with the white plastic supply inserted inside and the nozzle the looked like this after the Gorilla glue drying.

The black supply line at the rear of your Mini has a one-way-valve attached that I used to connect my new 007 gun muzzle to:

Notice that the direction arrow on the one-way-valve points toward the new nozzle/007 muzzle.

Now, connect this to the remaining black rubber supply line inside your Mini that is accessible once the rear wiper is deleted.

Now its time to attach the assembled squirt gun muzzle to the supply line and attach it all to the existing rubber grommet that remains on your Mini rear window from the wiper delete.
I found a black plastic plug from stuff laying around, it doesn't really matter where it comes from as long as it is rubber or plastic so you can glue it to the remaining black rubber grommet remaining on your rear window from the wiper delete.
I drilled a hole through the plug and glued the plug, with the nozzle in it to the remaining rubber grommet in the rear window and it dried over night with Gorilla glue again. I also painted the white nozzle flat black with a small brush - be careful not to paint over the nozzle hole!

Testing was next and the most fun of it all - what a stream!! This stream easily goes out 10-12 feet or more, with rather strong pressure and lots of volume! I hope you can see the stream in the following pictures, my wife was amazed.

This baby fires a stream!!!

Anyway, lots of fun ahead with my "friends" behind me.
BTW - squirting other cars may be an offense in some states (like CA) but I only plan on shooting my pals.

Happy motoring!

Paul

Man, it is fun around town!

Now - if other liquids would come out of the nozzle?

You got rid of your rear wiper to make a squirt gun? Dude............it's fun but.........It would have been even cooler if you could redirect the squirter and keep the wiper.............
