<font style = "bold">Changing steering wheels

Has anyone switched out a non-multi-function sports wheel for the multi-function wood wheel (both from the factory). I don't have the auto climate, or a Nav system, or an iPod or Bluetooth. Just an auto transmission with the upgraded - not Sirius - sound/speaker system. (Heck, I don't think I have cruise control. . .haven't been able to find it yet! )

(I suspect the plates are interchangeable in the front, but want to be sure before indulging in my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fantasy!)

Any advice from the experience modders out there?

I'm not looking to achieve MF capability here. . .just a pretty wood steering wheel that will match my English Oak trim! I'd be happy putting the blank pieces from my current wheel on the wooden one.

Thanks! - from a former "I'll never mod MY MINI!" person. Ha Ha!

That makes sense. I've used cruise control only twice in the last 20 years anyway. . . don't really like it!
