Interior/Exterior soft interior paint?
#1
IN L.A. recently we have started heating up a bit. I noticed yesterday when I get into the car in the afternoon that I accidently nicked into one of the grey pillars next to the radio, toggle switch area and it left a small black chip, where the grey chipped off a little.
Not thinking I instinctively rub it to make it better and more paint comes off. It kind of slid off a bit so now there is a small black spot where it was silver.
It was almost as if the paint was barely holding on and when I touched it it melted or something.
Well later that evening I touched it again and no more paint came off.
Is the heat melting the interior paint?

could be the heat. i recently had the airbag cover in my MCS replaced because of the paint chipping. tell your local dealer and they should take care of it under warranty. they fixed mine after a little bitching. i hate to be one of those customers because i'm in the service industry but it helps.
