hey guys. this is my 2nd or 3rd post. tried to find an answer no luck. i recently got an 03 cooper with 36000 miles and have been doing some small fixes on it. my question pertains to the big oval interior silver handles/ arm rest that are attached to the door panels. not the tiny round door opening pulls. hope i'm making sense?

the paint is worn i guess from using these handles to pull the doors closed on both the driver's and passenger side. first i would like to keep them the original silver, is there a particular brand/ color paint that anyone would recommend to match? second- it looks like they are held on by 3 screws is this correct? is it as simple as that to remove and reinstall? any clips?

We just worked with a set of panels. The rings are melted to the door panel. Yes, there are the 3 screws but the handle is behind the ring which must be broken off of the panel. We drilled out all the melted studs and popped the rings off.

Once they are all apart you just glue them back together. We used PPG urethane that is used to glue windows into cars.

nice site do you make a "wrap" (leather etc) that would match the door panel armrest? that would be nice.
