I did a search, but no luck...whats the best way to remove window tint so that none of the glue is left behind. I really dont wanna go through the hassle of scrapping and clean up, nor do i wana pay $75 for the installer to do it. any ideas?

I did it years ago, so not sure of the exact process. But pretty sure I used ammonia in a spray bottle and a scraper. Sprayed it on, let it sit for a bit then started to peel/scrape. I remember it being pretty easy. Did not need to do much scrapping.

Easiest way is to take a hair dryer, heat up the film a bit and then peel it off. You will have to scrape, clean the glass tho.

When I had the tint place take mine off for a ticket they just got an edge and ripped/peeled it off. then they just cleaned the glass really well. They did some scrapping for the glue though.

I wish they would have told me that small of a price. I guess they are just really lazy. 75 to remove 110 to install.
