removal of beltline on boot
Has anyone taken this piece off? Does it snap on and off like the 2002-2006 models?

yep
It does just pull off, but the clip is amazingly strong. Getting it back on is a real PITA as well.

It just lifts off. but do it evenly so not to bend the chrome
