Custom Rear Diffuser

I'm thinking about this rear diffuser. This one is on an R53, but I may be able to get it for my R56 JCW. It wouldn't be cheap. Do you guys have any opinions or suggestions?

Looks Cool, will it lower your track times? If not, I'd invest the cash in stuff that does. IMHO.

it's only made for the r53 currently....some of their other things are for the r56...get your computer to translate....try bablefish if you want to correspond with the owner...he is very nice and helpful....unfortunately, the exchange rate and shipping make these products very expensive

rear diffuser

i think M7 will come out with a nice R56 jcw diffuser soon...duz in japan isn't doing anything currently, so i hope peter comes through with something nice...if i had a r53 i would get one of duz's...amazing that the japanese designers have been overlooked by the american market where everyone's mini is starting to look the same.. diffusers-it's an area where few have ventured, maybe because it's at the bottom of the back of the car, but i think it's very important...it's detail, beauty, function and some fantasy which is what this is all about anyway

Flaco here are a few shots of our rear diffuser for the R-56. I just got back from AMVIV where we showed it for the first time . I am not much of a photographer but it should at least give you an idea of what we came up with.

We are working out the details . We just got it finished in time for the AMVIV show and now will work up some sort of a production schedual. It is made of fiber glass and aluminum and a CF version could be done if there is a need for it . There was a lot of interest for some sort of a R-53 variation so we will look into that as well.

Do you have any plans for the R53 at this time? Also would it fit a GP if you were to make one.

Thanks in advance.

To answer both of you I would love to see it for the R-53 (my car in particular ) , so I will be keeping the pressure on Peter to see if we can make it happen . When he first put it together it was for the R-56 only but so many R-53 owners came up to us at AMVIV that we are going to give it a serious look. You will certainly have to go with a straight exhaust and lose the battery box at a minimum. Those seeing the piece in person said it looked worth the effort and I agree.

gotta say. it's a well made diffuser for the r56. I'm sure this will spark the debate does it work or not... whatever. I was pretty blown away by this thing. It goes Deep into the car and looks like it would be fairly functional. I mean aerodynamics are a bit over my head at this point, but it looks pretty good too.

Thanks for the positive words . I am still processing photos from yesterday. This one might best illustrate how deep it actually goes under the car as you mentioned . I saw a ton of people taking photos of the unit so perhaps some others will show up and add/ improve on my offerings

At this point all I can say is that nothing is out of the question at this point in time. The item you are looking at is about 5 days old as we speak and the availability, price and variations will all be decided in the very near future.

that diffuser is super sweet!! I've came across the DUZ piece a while back around the same time when the first pics of the R56 challenge car were coming out and like the look of that diffuser more..

I really hope that an R53 version is made!!
