HEADLIGHT STONE GUARDS

I'd like to find some headlight stone guard grilles for my MCS. I know that they're made for the round headlights on classic Minis, but haven't found ones to fit newer Minis.
Anybody know of a source?
Thanks,
gaminis

Are you looking for the metal grilles or the heavy duty plastic that covers the outer lens?

That would certainly give it a classic look. Vinyl headlight protection may have killed that market.

I was talking about the metal (mesh) grilles; like the ones on the old English roadsters, but I doubt if anybody makes them. Yeah, they would look classy. I had them on my Austin Healey 3000 years ago.
Short of that, I guess I need to go with the heavy duty vinyl headlight covers. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
gaminis

There is a prior thread on this. The size of the lights is rather small. Some mods have been done on a few MINIs with mesh guards for motorcycle lights. I looked for car specific ones over 3 years ago and was SOL unless a mod was done to motorcycle 3" guards. ( I believe it was 3" guards - please do your own measurements)

Shoot an email over to Ian from Coopersport...He is really good at digging up these kind of things.

If there is enough interest then maybe he could do a group buy...

Thanks, Blue Cooper. I emailed Ian. I'll post his reply, if I hear back from him.

Gaminis. Did you ever find the metal mesh stone guards? That is exactly what I am looking for to use on my new mini Coupe I just ordered. Please let me know what you found since your posting was in 2007. Thanks!
