About how much...

To get factory driving lights installed and programmed? I've read that your best bet is with factory lights to get the dealer to reprogram the ECU to recognize the lights. I would supply the lights because I know I can get them cheaper than dealer price but I hate anything electrical. I would rather let them do it. And this way, while they are doing it, I can be like, "Hey, why don't you let me drive that new Cooper S out front?".

I had heard that the driving lights did not need to be programmed?

You just might be better off buying a set of aftermarket lights and installing yourself or having a good auto electrician do it.
